Managing Director
Jan Rezek
Jan Rezek is Managing Director and co-founder of NICF. After years in national and EU grant financing at Nordic Innovators, he kept seeing the same pattern: clients in need of financing had to approach several financial advisors to get the full mix. As a result, he built NICF in 2024 to close that gap and to complement the group so clients have a genuine one-stop shop - from grants to venture and project debt, equity financing and exits.
Jan is a go-to adviser to the C-suite, structures complex transactions through a strategic lens, aligning deal architecture with corporate objectives and running lean, execution-first processes. He leads our EIB and EIC Fund engagements, as well as the M&A area.

Henrik Kemp

During Henrik’s entire career, he has focused on helping companies on their funding journey and has also developed many successful applications. However, as Nordic Innovators started to grow he uses all his energy on ensuring the continued growth of our company.
In his spare free time, Henrik enjoys paddle tennis and cross fit which give him new energy.

Kenneth's many years of experience within innovation management and funding schemes have made a big difference to many companies and universities. He also has extended proposal writing skills and a profound knowledge of project administration in both EU and national context.

Senior Advisor
Kai Bech Andersen
Kai has extensive experience from both the financial sector and M&A advisory services. He has been regional director at Sparekassen Sønderjylland and Sydbank, and has since worked as a partner in corporate finance firms such as Advizer/Clearwater International and DealHaus. Before he was employed in Capitalis, which included Spar Nord, Jyske Bank, Nykredit and Fiona Bank in the ownership structure.
He has been involved in more than 75 transactions – primarily in owner-managed and capital-intensive companies within industry, retail and consumer products.
Kai is known for his down-to-earth approach, good relationships and ability to lead small and medium-sized business transactions with strong local roots – from start to finish.
Lead Advisor
Pernille Rask
Pernille is a driving force and has been with us for more than 5 years. She has had several roles within our company, from Consultant to Team Manager for the Norwegian Business Unit to now be the Team Manager for NICF assisting with operations and delivery of services.
In her previous career, she spent much time in the Laboratory doing research in ageing and developed a scientist mind.
Pernille enjoys different outdoor activities with her family but also relaxing with board games or knitting.

Morten Sejer Thomsen
Morten has a strong background in finance and extensive experience in project financing, having secured about EUR 1 billion. He has worked with one of Europe’s largest solar investors, and his expertise in these areas is invaluable as we continue to support our clients with complex financial transactions in the green transition segment.
Outside of work, Morten is a dedicated badminton coach and an enthusiastic triathlete, having completed 4 Ironmans to date.

Mats Gundersen
Mats is part of the M&A team and works from the office in Bergen where he assists with research and analysis of different client cases. This fits him quite well as Mats has interest and experience from the financial markets and company valuation in general.
Mats finds it particularly interesting to see how businesses grow, and all the new ideas that come to life.
When Mats is not working, he enjoys having a good time with friends or going to the gym. He also enjoys skiing or going salmon fishing in the summer.

Yuuki Nakamura
Yuuki is half Thai and half Japanese and she grew up in Bangkok, Thailand. She had audit working experience and worked as a deal advisor at KPMG Thailand. Later, she moved to Bergen to pursue a Master’s degree in Finance.
Yuuki likes to work with data and numbers, where she absolutely excels. During her leisure time, she enjoys reading books, with a preference for genres such as Romance, fantasy, and memoir.
Analyst
Aïna Leho Hjemdal
Aïna has joined our Bergen office as a financial analyst while pursuing her master’s degree in finance at the Norwegian School of Economics. She is both analytical and a team player—a combination that’s ideal for supporting our corporate finance team.
Aïna speaks French, as she is half French, and in her free time she enjoys climbing, hiking and snowboarding.

Andreea Nicole Rata
Andreea is a student assistant at Nordic Innovators Corporate Finance, carrying out a range of financial analyses while pursuing her master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration at the Norwegian School of Economics. She is always eager to learn and ready for a new challenge.
Outside work, Andreea enjoys running, sauna sessions, practising Pilates and tackling escape rooms.
